Unbroken is a series…
of multimedia works that combine my documentary photography from Sarajevo, with still life techniques and digital painting. UNBROKEN is about the ways in which we find peace and resolve after experience great turmoil and violence. The breaking of the glass is not just a representation of the destruction and loss many Bosnians experienced during the genocide of the early 90's, but also about the freedom from the unimaginable and inhumane circumstances endured.
Though violent at first glance, these images are equally representative of hope. They are about breaking away from our pasts and the sins of our predecessors, and about finding light in the void.
